Save the live...puppies anyone?

Just received an email from my friend Brandt From Trade Guild.

"If anyone is interested in a lab/mix pup, email me ( ) and I'll hook you up with Merissa. She lives in GA, but may travel to meet anyone half way.

Note: forwarded message attached."

"Scott (my friend) rescued 6 black lab (mix) puppies out of the middle of the road on Saturday.
PLEASE help me find them homes - otherwise, it's Animal Control - which means they only have 5 days.
We've bathed them, sprayed them for fleas and wormed them....but we can't keep them.
They are currently in a kennel in my basement since I don't have a fence.
I've lost count of the number of rescue groups that I've contacted, only to be turned down due to no room.
Please check with every dog person you know to see if they need a puppy"

Oh, geesh, please don't send these babies to Animal Control---Pleeezzze just don't do it. It pains me to think these beautiful dogs ....nooo. Please save them. I saw you on the Think/Swim chat and you referenced your site. I love dogs. I have two trading dogs myself. I'd have more but my apartment has a limit of 2 per apartment. Please save these dogs.

These dogs do not belong to me, I was helping my friend's attempts to have them saved. I lost my dog on October 23rd 2008 - she was 5 years old Golden - died in the drying cage - and I was not even there to save her....

I know they are your friend's and not yours but I was hoping that you could try to do something else to get them to good loving homes. My heart sank reading how your dog died...I am very sorry, David. I am very sorry.

BTW, I read your mention of my post on chat this morning. I don't join in on the chat because you guys are out of my league. I used to trade off larger charts but for last few months, I have found I have had to trade off shorter charts - like the hourly. Shortest chart I use is 30 min and I think most people on the chat trade off 5 min. Anyways, thanks for loving a dog in your life.
